Snob Berry Terms of Services

Welcome to Snob Berry. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Snob Berry mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using Snob Berry, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Snob Berry

Snob Berry is a community-driven rating platform that allows users to:

• Create and join topic-specific communities (“Snobberies”)
• Rate and discuss items (“Things”) within those communities
• Participate in community consensus building

Snob Berry is designed to facilitate structured opinion, not objective fact. All ratings reflect user opinions

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using Snob Berry, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activity under your account
• Providing accurate information

You may not:

• Impersonate another person
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings
• Transfer your account to another person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including:

• Ratings
• Comments
• Descriptions
• Tags
• Media uploads (if enabled)

However, by submitting content, you grant Snob Berry a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Host
• Display
• Modify
• Distribute
• Aggregate
• Derive consensus metrics from your content

This license allows us to operate and improve the Service.

5. Community Structure and Canonical Merging

Snob Berry may:

• Merge duplicate “Things”
• Designate canonical entries
• Aggregate ratings across merged entries
• Adjust presentation to reflect community consensus

Moderators, stewards, and platform administrators may curate community data to preserve clarity and quality. Individual ratings remain attributable to the original user account.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content
• Harass or threaten other users
• Attempt to manipulate ratings through coordinated activity
• Use bots or automated scripts
• Interfere with platform integrity

Snob Berry may remove content or suspend accounts at its discretion.

7. No Manupulation of Consensus

Users may not attempt to manipulate ratings or rankings through coordinated activity, fake accounts, automated systems, or other deceptive practices. Rankings and consensus metrics are automatically derived from aggregated user ratings and are not editorial judgments by Snob Berry.

8. Ratings Reflect Community Opinion

All ratings represent subjective user opinions.Snob Berry does not guarantee:

• Accuracy
• Completeness
• Fairness of ratings
• Representativeness of consensus

Businesses and individuals mentioned on the platform are not endorsed or verified unless explicitly stated.

9. Business Listings and Mentions

Snob Berry may include businesses, brands, products, or locations as community-rated “Things.” Inclusion does not imply:

• Endorsement
• Partnership
• Verification

Businesses may contact us regarding factual corrections.

9.1 No Right to Control Listings

Businesses, brands, products, locations, and other entities may appear on Snob Berry as community-rated “Things.”
Inclusion of an entity on the platform does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or verification by Snob Berry.
Entities listed on the platform do not have the right to remove or control user ratings or opinions about them.
Snob Berry may review requests to correct factual inaccuracies (such as name, location, or category), but subjective ratings and opinions are determined by the community.

10. Platform Authority and Future Monetization

Snob Berry may introduce monetization features in the future, which could include sponsored placements, promoted listings, affiliate links, or other forms of sponsorship. Any sponsored or promotional content will be clearly disclosed in accordance with applicable laws and platform policies. Monetization features will not retroactively alter user-submitted ratings or community consensus.

11. Intellectual Property

The Snob Berry name, logo, design elements, rating models, and software are the property of Snob Berry. You may not:

• Copy platform structure
• Scrape community data
• Reverse engineer the Service
• Reproduce proprietary rating frameworks

Without written permission.

12. Data and Privacy

Your use of Snob Berry is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data to:

• Operate the Service
• Improve functionality
• Maintain community integrity
• Prevent abuse

Snob Berry does not sell personal data and does not use advertising tracking technologies.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in manipulation or abuse
• Harm community integrity

You may stop using the Service at any time.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Snob Berry provides a platform for user opinions and community discussion. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement

We are not responsible for:

• User-generated content
• Business reputational outcomes
• Community disagreements

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snob Berry shall not be liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of data
• Loss of reputation
• Loss of profits

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the past 12 months.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time.Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.
